We exist to give individuals, families and business owners a calm, considered second voice on the financial decisions that shape the next twenty or thirty years — supported by serious investment planning capability and a single accountable relationship.

Dynamic Consult is an authorised independent Financial Services Provider — Category I, FSP 54508. We provide financial advice and intermediary services. We hold working relationships with South Africa's leading asset managers and product houses — Ninety One, Old Mutual, Sanlam, Discovery, Momentum, Liberty, BrightRock and Capital Legacy — and, where discretionary portfolio management forms part of a client arrangement, that function is provided by an appropriately authorised Category II discretionary investment partner.
The firm is deliberately built for long client relationships rather than transaction volume. Steady ongoing review, a modern digital client experience and clear, ongoing communication are part of how we work — they are not extras.
The practice is deliberately small — built around investment, advice and a single, continuous client relationship.
Founder
John Vermaak

Dynamic Consult is led by John Vermaak, a licensed Key Individual holding RE1, RE3 and RE5 regulatory examinations, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning Law (NQF 8) from the University of the Free State — and a career built across South Africa's largest financial institutions before going independent.
John spent over a decade in financial advice at Sanlam, Old Mutual and Fairbairn Consult, working within independent FSP models and developing deep familiarity with institutional investment processes, compliance structures and long-term client stewardship. Before moving into financial services, he spent fifteen years in senior corporate sales and marketing leadership roles in the FMCG industry — a background that shaped a practical, commercial approach to complex decisions.
Dynamic Consult obtained FSP licensing from the FSCA regulator in December 2024. The firm exists because important financial decisions deserve more than a product recommendation — they deserve a long, careful conversation with someone who knows your circumstances and remembers them next year, and the year after.
